The Regional Tourism: Policy and Practice for Central Asia journal is an open-access publication. To support the publication process, ensure high editorial standards, and maintain accessibility for all readers, an Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied upon acceptance of a manuscript.

APC Details

  • Standard APC: $250 (USD) per accepted article.

The APC supports the following services:

    • Coordinating peer review and editorial decision-making processes.
  2. Technical Editing:
    • Copyediting, formatting, and layout design to ensure professional quality.
  3. Open Access Hosting:
    • Online hosting and dissemination on the journal’s open-access platform.
  4. Indexing and Archiving:
    • Ensuring discoverability through indexing services and long-term digital preservation.
  5. Administrative Costs:
    • Maintaining journal operations, website management, and correspondence.

Discounts and Waivers

The journal is committed to inclusivity and equity in academic publishing. To support this goal, the following discounts and waivers are available:

    • Early-Career Researchers: 25% discount for first-time authors or graduate students.
    • Regional Discounts: 50% discount for authors from Central Asian countries.
    • Reviewer Discounts: Reviewers contributing to the journal may receive up to a 50% discount on their own submissions.

  2. Full Waivers:
    Authors may request a full waiver if:

    • They are from low-income countries or underrepresented regions.
    • The research has exceptional societal impact or is of critical importance.
