Plagiarism Policy

The Eurasian Journal of Human Health and Disease upholds a strict plagiarism policy to maintain academic integrity and the originality of its publications. All submitted manuscripts undergo thorough screening using plagiarism detection software, such as iThenticate or Turnitin, to identify any instances of plagiarism or self-plagiarism.

Acceptable Similarity Threshold:

  • Similarity Index Below 20%: Manuscripts with a similarity index below 20% are generally considered acceptable, provided that the matching content is properly cited and does not constitute plagiarism.

  • Similarity Index Between 20% and 30%: Manuscripts with a similarity index in this range may require revision. Authors will be notified and asked to address the overlapping content to ensure originality.

  • Similarity Index Above 30%: Manuscripts exceeding this threshold are likely to be rejected due to significant concerns regarding originality.

Consequences of Plagiarism:

  • During Peer Review: If plagiarism is detected during the peer review process, the manuscript may be rejected immediately.

  • Post-Publication: If plagiarism is identified after publication, the journal will conduct an investigation following COPE guidelines. Depending on the findings, the article may be retracted, and a notice of retraction will be published.

Author Responsibilities:

Authors are expected to submit original works and properly cite any sources or content derived from other works. Prior to submission, authors should utilize plagiarism detection tools to check their manuscripts and ensure compliance with the journal's plagiarism policy.

By adhering to this policy, the Eurasian Journal of Human Health and Disease ensures the publication of high-quality, original research, maintaining the trust of the academic community and its readership.
