Publication Ethics

1. Responsibilities of Authors

  1. Originality and Plagiarism:

    • Authors must ensure that their work is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
    • Proper citation is required for all referenced materials. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding the journal’s threshold will be rejected.
  2. Authorship:

    • Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the research.
    • All co-authors must approve the final version of the manuscript before submission.
  3. Acknowledgment of Sources:

    • Proper acknowledgment must be given to all sources, funding agencies, and contributors.
  4. Data Accuracy and Integrity:

    • Authors must ensure the accuracy of the data presented and be prepared to provide raw data upon request.
    • Fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of data is strictly prohibited.
  5. Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest:

    • Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the interpretation of results.

2. Responsibilities of Reviewers

  1. Confidentiality:

    • Reviewers must treat manuscripts as confidential documents and refrain from sharing their contents.
  2. Objectivity:

    • Reviews must be conducted impartially, providing constructive and unbiased feedback.
  3. Acknowledgment of Sources:

    • Reviewers should identify relevant work not cited by the authors and notify the editors of any suspected plagiarism.
  4. Timeliness:

    • Reviewers are expected to complete their evaluations within the agreed-upon timeframe.

3. Responsibilities of Editors

  1. Fair Decision-Making:

    • Editors must evaluate manuscripts solely based on their intellectual content, without bias.
  2. Confidentiality:

    • Editors must ensure the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and not disclose any details to third parties.
  3. Ethical Oversight:

    • Editors are responsible for addressing ethical complaints, including allegations of misconduct, conflicts of interest, or plagiarism.
  4. Conflict of Interest:

    • Editors must recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where conflicts of interest exist.

4. Responsibilities of the Publisher

  1. Integrity of the Publication Record:

    • The publisher ensures that corrections, retractions, and expressions of concern are published promptly when needed.
  2. Archiving and Access:

    • The publisher guarantees the long-term availability and accessibility of published articles.
  3. Ethical Oversight:

    • The publisher works with editors to resolve ethical concerns and uphold the integrity of the publication process.

5. Misconduct and Ethical Violations

  1. Plagiarism:

    • Manuscripts with plagiarized content will be rejected. For published articles, retractions will be issued if plagiarism is discovered post-publication.
  2. Duplicate Submissions:

    • Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously is unethical and will result in rejection.
  3. Sanctions:

    • Authors found guilty of ethical violations may be barred from future submissions.

6. Appeals and Complaints

Authors have the right to appeal editorial decisions. Appeals must be submitted in writing with a detailed justification. The journal will review appeals in accordance with its policies, and decisions will be final.
